Xavier sophomore Sarah Brown was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 2011 Division I Honorable Mention All-American Team as announced by the association on Dec. 14. The Xavier volleyball team ended its 2011 regular season with a quality win over the NCAA Tournament bound Lipscomb Bisons, 3-1 (25-22, 16-25, 25-21, 25-17), at Cintas Center on Saturday afternoon. The occasion was bittersweet as it was the final home match for seniors Michelle Matia, Kathryn Traut and Emily Mayers

The Xavier volleyball team will finish up the 2011 home portion of the schedule with a match against Lipscomb. The Musketeers are coming into the match with a spotless 8-0 record at Cintas Center and a win would mark only the second time in school history that the Musketeers have won all of their home matches
