Play4Kay Pink Game Set for Feb. 24

CINCINNATI – Xavier women's basketball is scheduled to host their Play4Kay Pink Game on Friday, Feb. 24th at Cintas Center as they take on Creighton. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. on FS2.
The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a mystery pink Xavier item.
Xavier would like to honor breast cancer survivors for their strength, courage and determination. Survivors can register to be recognized during the game and may request two complimentary tickets to the game by completing this form.
Xavier Athletics has partnered with the Karen Wellington Foundation this year to spread awareness and participate in the initiative to fight breast cancer. Representatives from the Karen Wellington Foundation will be at the game raffling off baskets and accepting donations to support their cause.
The Karen Wellington Foundation is not your ordinary cancer foundation. They put FUN on the calendars of women and families LIVING with breast cancer – sending them on family vacations, relaxing spa days, dinners out with friends, concerts, road trips and other FUN-ONLY activities. The Play 4Kay initiative, named after former North Carolina State University coach Kay Yow, is an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for women's cancer research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. Since its inception in 2007, the Play 4Kay initiative has helped the Kay Yow Cancer Fund support $5.28 million in women's cancer research and related projects. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 3-17 and FREE to those 2 and under. Tickets can purchased online at GoXavier.com or at the ticket window on game day. Group tickets start at $3 and must be purchased in advance by calling 513-745-3378.
