"We're getting close to that point in the indoor season where our sprinters, jumpers and mid-distance athletes need to be perfecting what they do at each meet. Although I have some of our athletes competing in secondary events before we focus back on their primary events for conference championships, I think there's a lot to be gained from our trip to Marshall. Because the BIG EAST Indoor Championship has so many events, I like to use opportunities like this weekend to start figuring out how we can place our athletes in the best spots for a successful championship. The 4x8 and DMR are two relays in particular where we need to have lots of options."
"Both our male and female sprints will be in multiple sprinting events this weekend, taking advantage of Marshall's new 300-meter indoor track."
Â
Mid Distance EventsÂ
"Grant Parrelli should be a  factor for us in the 800-meter run. He's coming off a huge PR in the mile from last weekend."
"Nolan Daniels will be moving up to the mile which is a rather long event for him, but he really wants to test himself in a longer race now that we've been able to develop his aerobic base."
In the men's mile, Grayson Jenkins is in the fast heat which should pull him to a run at the indoor school record."
Â
Mid Distance EventsÂ
"Brooke Hines will be dropping down into the 800-meter run for the first time this season. She's a lot of fun to watch on the track and I'm excited to see what she can do in the open 800."
"Maddie Britton will be dropping down from her longer events to race the mile this weekend as well. She'll be using the race to once again work on her lower end velocity for an outdoor 5K."
Distance
"We have a strong group of women racing in the 3KÂ together this weekend. Gina Genco, Allsion Sinning and Alondra Hoyos should all push one another to score well within their heats."
