Xavier to Host Lauren Hill Tipoff Classic and Bounce for a Cure

Second annual event will be on Saturday, Nov. 12 at Cintas Center
CINCINNATI – Xavier women's basketball will host the second annual Lauren Hill Tipoff Classic on Saturday, Nov. 12. Xavier takes on Tennessee State at 1:00 p.m., with Mount St. Joseph and Hiram playing approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. Xavier Athletics is excited to announce the Bounce for a Cure, which will be held prior to the games, and Lauren Hill jersey t-shirt giveaway.
Kids in grades 8 and under are invited to participate in the Bounce for a Cure event to "bounce" to Cintas Center and do their Layup4Lauren on the Sedler Family Plaza before heading into the game. Participants will dribble through campus to the front entrance of Cintas Center, where they will make a Layup4Lauren outside on the plaza.
All kids who participate in the event will receive a Lauren Hill jersey t-shirt and a free ticket to the Lauren Hill Tipoff Classic. Participants are encouraged to bring their own basketball to use in the bounce, but a limited number of basketballs will be available to purchase for $5 on the day of the event. Check-in for the event will begin at 11:45 a.m., with the bounce starting at 12:15 p.m.
Advanced registration to Bounce for a Cure is required and limited to the first 500 kids in grades 8 and under. To register, please complete the online form. Registration closes on Nov. 9 or once capacity is reached.
Reserved seating tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and can be purchased online here. Parents who would like to attend the game and sit with their child can purchase general admission tickets for $5 in advance online here. Tickets will also be sold at the door, but fans are encouraged to buy in advance to avoid lines.
The first 500 fans in attendance will also receive a Lauren Hill jersey t-shirt.
