
Record-Setting Season for Cintas Center Attendance

Xavier's success on the court was matched by fan enthusiasm in 2015-16
CINCINNATI – Xavier men's basketball had a record-setting season this year – both on the court and in average attendance.
The Musketeers played before big crowds all season long, setting a new Cintas Center record for average attendance in a season.
• Xavier drew 10,281 fans over 16 home games this season, which was 100.3% of Cintas Center's listed capacity of 10,250. XU had never averaged higher than total listed capacity in a season prior to this year.
• The previous record was set in the 2001-02 season when XU averaged 10,224 fans per game (99.7% capacity).
• The Musketeers drew sellouts in 11 of their total 16 games, including eight of nine BIG EAST tilts. Of the 11 sellouts, nine were expanded to standing room only crowds in order to meet demand.
• XU went undefeated (11-0) in games that were sold out this season, including four wins against AP Top 25 opposition (#1 Villanova, #9 Butler, #23 Providence and #23 Cincinnati).
• A total of 164,501 fans came to watch the Musketeers this season, which is the third-highest total since Cintas opened in 2000.
• The highest total attendance in XU history was 170,133 in 2007-08.
• Coming into this season, the single-game Cintas Center attendance record was 10,492 vs. Butler on Feb. 21, 2015. That record was topped five times during the 2015-16 season!
• The top five single-game attendance marks at Cintas are all from this year, and they include:
• XU averaged 10,403 (101.5% of capacity) fans during league games at home this season.
• Xavier sold out eight of its nine BIG EAST home games this season. The lone league home game to fall short of a sellout was the Jan. 19 game against Georgetown.
• In BIG EAST play, the Musketeers were 8-0 at home when playing before a sold out Cintas Center.
• Xavier's all-time average attendance at Cintas Center since its inaugural season in 2000 is 10,031, which is 97.9% of capacity.
• With 11 more this season, Cintas Center has now sold out 137 times since opening during the 2000 season.
• XU went 15-1 at home this season and holds the nation's fourth-best homecourt winning percentage (87.5%) with an all-time record of 216-31 at Cintas Center.
• Xavier ended the year with six consecutive sellouts – the final one coming on March 5 when 10,633 fans turned out for Senior Day against Creighton.
