Xavier held its third straight opponent under 50 points
CINCINNATI - Xavier women's basketball held its third straight opponent under 50 points on Sunday afternoon as the Musketeers moved to 4-0 on the year with a 62-41 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Lady Lions dropped to the 0-4 on the year. Xavier also limited UAPB to a .271 field-goal percentage, a season-best for the Musketeers' defense.

• Raeshaun Gaffney led all scorers with 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting, her 37th career game in double figures. The senior guard added five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes of play.

• Maddison Blackwell was the only other Xavier player in double figures with 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting. The senior forward scored 13 points in the second half. She added six rebounds in the win.

• Xavier held a 54-34 advantage on the glass with Leah Schaefer pulling down 12 rebounds to match her career high. She has posted double-figure rebounds in six career games. Marquia Turner also matched her career high with seven rebounds.
