Men's Basketball Moves Up to School Record No. 6 in AP, Coaches Poll

Xavier's previous high ranking was No. 7 in both major polls
CINCINNATI – Off to a school record 11-0 start, Xavier men's basketball has risen to No. 6 in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Polls on Monday, Dec. 21. Both rankings are new school records for the program.
Xavier's previous high in the USA Today Coaches Poll was a No. 7 mark on Dec. 15, 2008. The Musketeers had achieved a No. 7 AP ranking twice, coming on Dec. 15, 2008 and Dec. 7, 1997.
XU is joined in the AP poll by conference mates Butler (9), Providence (10) and Villanova (17). The BIG EAST boasts three teams in the top-10, which leads all conferences.
In the Coaches Poll, Xavier is joined by Butler (12), Providence (14) and Villanova (17).
The Musketeers are fresh off a 85-61 win against Auburn on Saturday and return to action tomorrow night at Wake Forest. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m.
