CINCINNATI - Following the conclusion of the BIG EAST regular-season on Sunday afternoon, the Xavier volleyball team finished tied with Creighton for second place. By virtue of head-to-head tie-breaker the Musketeers earned the three-seed in the BIG EAST Championship.

The seeding between Xavier and Creighton was irrelevant in the four-team tournament, as the two- and three-seeds are slated to play one another in the semifinals. Marquette earned the top seed after winning the regular season outright. The Golden Eagles will face Butler in the other semifinals.

Creighton is hosting the tournament in Omaha, Neb., from Nov. 29-30. Marquette and Butler will play at 5 p.m. ET on Friday and Xavier and Creighton will follow at 7:30 p.m.
