Xavier failed to make the field the first three seasons the Musketeers were a part of the Atlantic 10 Conference, but have made post-season play every year since 1998. XU holds an all-time record of 9-12 (.429) in the tournament and has made the finals five times. The Musketeers' only tournament title came in 2001 as XU defeated Temple in straight sets, 30-26, 30-24, 30-27. Last season, XU made it to the finals where they fell to Dayton 3-0 at Cintas Center.
