CINCINNATI- The careers of five Musketeers will be honored on senior night as the Xavier volleyball team will play host to Atlantic 10-rival Dayton at 7 p.m. on Saturday night. Kaela Jo Freppon, Elizabeth Lucich, Kaleigh Rougraff, Stephanie Vorherr and Amé White will play their last match at the Cintas Center.

Xavier Downed By No. 18 Dayton In Four Sets
After winning the opening game, Xavier lost in four sets at 18th-ranked Dayton (19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-14). Amé White recorded a team-high 12 kills and Sarah Brown added 11 for the Musketeers.

Xavier enters the match at 19-9 overall and 11-2 in the A-10, and riding an eight-match win streak. Dayton is in the midst of a 14-match win streak and holds a 22-4 record, including 13-0 in the A-10. Xavier has secured the No. 2 seed in the A-10 Championship and the Flyers have locked up the top seed, giving both teams a bye into the semifinals.

Last Time Out
Xavier went on the road last weekend and won against VCU and Charlotte to extend its winning streak to eight-straight matches. The Musketeers broke a second-place tie with the Rams, securing a second-place finish in the A-10 and earning a first-round bye in the A-10 Championship.

Senior libero Stephanie Vorherr has 2,078 career digs, which ranks third all-time in the A-10. Vorherr trails only current GW libero Candace Silva-Martin (2,105) and La Salle's Carolyn Judge (2,080).

Hitting the Mark
Alex Smith has a career-hitting percentage of .338, tied with Hall-of-Famer Sara Bachus as the best in program history. She is hitting .381 on the season, which ranks 24th in the nation and is third-best in program history.

A-10's Department of Defense
The Musketeers hold their opponents to a .145 attack percentage, tops in the A-10. Xavier is the only team ranked in the top four of the A-10 in opponent hitting percent (1st), blocks (4th) and digs (4th). During its 13 conference matches, XU has held its opponents to a hitting percentage below .100 on six different occasions.

Scouting the Opposition - Dayton
The Flyers are 13-0 in conference action and have already clinched the A-10 regular-season title. UD is in the midst of a 14-match win streak, with its last loss coming on Sept. 15 to then-No.19 Kansas State. Rachel Krabacher (4.53 k/s), Samantha Selsky (11.51 a/s), Janna Krafka (4.19 d/s) and Isolde Hannan (1.29 b/s) are the Flyer's statistical leaders.

Series Stuff - Dayton
Xavier trails Dayton in the all-time series, 25-48, including a four-set loss at then-18th-ranked UD on Oct. 8. The Musketeers won the first set, 25-19, but lost the next three sets to the Flyers. Amé White led XU with 12 kills and Sarah Brown added 11. Aubree Smith dished out 37 assists in the match. UD was paced by Rachel Krabacher's 27 kills and Samantha Selsky's 44 assists and 11 digs. The Musketeers have gone on an eight-match win streak since playing the Flyers.

The last time Xavier defeated a ranked opponent was 12th-ranked Dayton in 2007. XU also defeated UD at home last year when the Flyers were receiving votes.
