CINCINNATI - Following a four-match road trip, Xavier volleyball returns home to Cintas Center for a pair of matches against BIG EAST foes DePaul and Marquette. Friday's match with DePaul begins at 7 p.m., while Saturday's match follows the men's basketball exhibition game and is slated for a 7 p.m. start as well.

Volleyball Continues to Roll Through NC State Classic, Sweeps DePaul, 3-0
The Xavier volleyball team continues to roll through the NC State Classic as it picked up its third-straight sweep, dropping DePaul, 3-0, Saturday morning at Reynolds Coliseum. Senior Kelly Ruth posted a match- and season-high 13 kills and hit a blistering .579 clip.

Smith Named All-Tournament; XU Falls In Final Match Of Xavier Invitational
The Xavier volleyball team fell in three sets (26-24, 25-21, 27-25) to Marquette in the Musketeers final match of the Xavier Invitational. Xavier (4-3) finished the tournament with a win over Tennessee Tech and losses to Ole Miss and Marquette (4-1), who won the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record.

The Musketeers sit in second place in the conference with a 15-8 overall record and 6-2 mark in the league. The Blue Demons enter at 15-7 and are last in the BIG EAST with a 1-7 record. Sitting in first place are the Golden Eagles, who are 15-5 overall and 7-1 in the conference.

Xavier head coach Mike Johnson is one win away from reaching the century mark. He has 77 wins as the head coach of Xavier over the last three-plus seasons. In his only season as head coach at Austin Peay, Johnson led the Governors to 22 wins to bring his career win total to 99.

Saturday's match against Marquette will be streamed live on, with play-by-play from Mike Schmaltz and volleyball alum Shannon Voors. Live stats from both matches will also be carried.
