Smith Leads Xavier To A Four-Set Victory Over St. John's
Sunday afternoon was chock full of excitement for Xavier volleyball. The team emerged victorious over St. John's in four sets (25-11, 25-18, 32-34, 25-23). Aubree Smith and Abbey Bessler rounded off their weekends by putting out top-notch efforts for the third day in a row. Smith nearly had a triple-double, and Bessler had her team-leading 11th double-double of the season.

CINCINNATI - Xavier will complete a four-match road trip with a pair of matches on the East Coast against St. John's and Seton Hall. Friday's 5 p.m. match at St. John's will be televised on ESPN3, then trip concludes with a 7 p.m. meeting against Seton Hall in South Orange, N.J.

The Musketeers bring a 13-8 overall record and 4-2 mark in the BIG EAST into the weekend. XU has already met both teams this season, winning each contests. XU downed St. John's (14-9, 3-4 BIG EAST) in four sets behind Aubree Smith's 48 assists, 11 digs and nine kills. Smith was equally impressive in Xavier's four set win over Seton Hall, dropping 44 assists and 21 digs on the Pirates.

Ralph Benarczyk (Play-by-Play) and former Fordham and Aldelphi coach Joe Chojnacki (Analyst) will serve as the broadcast team for Friday's match against St. John's on ESPN3. To view the match, please use the link above or go to WatchESPN.com.
