Alex Smith Dominates In Philly
Redshirt junior middle blocker Alex Smith had a stellar weekend in Philadelphia. Against Temple she registered 20 kills and zero errors in 35 attempts with six blocks. She followed with an eight-kill performance against La Salle. She finished the weekend with 28 kills, one error, 48 attacks and .562 hitting percent.
Aubree Smith's Increased Productivity
Sophomore setter Aubree Smith has increased her production in the last seven matches, increasing from 8.31 a/s in the first 11 matches to 10.22 a/s since. She has been even more impressive in A-10 play, averaging 10.87 a/s. In XU's last two matches at Temple and La Salle, Smith combined for 96 assists (12.00 a/s).

With 28 digs against Temple, senior libero Stephanie Vorherr added her eighth performance to Xavier's top-10 single-match records list. She has single-match dig totals of 46, 43, 30, 29 (twice) and 28 (three times) in her career.
Series Stuff - UC
UC won last season's meeting, 3-1. Sarah Brown led Xavier with 11 kills and 13 digs. Kelsey Dunaway added 10 kills. Jordanne Scott posted 16 kills to lead UC. The Bearcats lead the all-time series, 21-8.
Scouting the Opposition - Cincinnati
UC enters Wednesday's match winners of two of its last three matches, all in Big East play. Despite only four wins on the season, the Bearcats have played a very difficult schedule, with losses to seven teams ranked in the AVCA poll: Iowa State, Florida State, Western Kentucky, Illinois (twice), Purdue and Texas. Cincinnati is led by Jordanne Scott (4.43 k/s), Rachel Rohlfs (11.53 a/s), Emily MacIntyre (4.93 d/s) and Becca Refenes (.90 b/s).
