Xavier volleyball head coach Mike Johnson has a nickname for nearly everyone, especially his players. Some of the players have multiple nicknames, some of them have changed over the years. Mike and several of his players took the time to speak with GoXavier regarding the nicknames, including how some of the nicknames were earned and how they related to the FBI.

Closed career with 1,210 digs, a mark that ranks 8th all-time upon graduation ... posted 482 digs as a senior, the fifth-highest total by a Musketeer ... Surpassed 1,000 career digs with 22 digs against Morehead State ... Became the 11th member of the 1,000 kill-1,000 dig club at Xavier with 19 kills and 23 digs at Seton Hall ... Opened season in Xavier Invitational with 10 kills against No. 7 Michigan and followed with 10 kills, 18 digs versus NKU... Registered 18 kills and 17 digs against American ... Notched career-high 30 digs against Butler (Oct. 11), a total that is tied-fifth all-time at XU ... Eclipsed 20 digs in a match nine times on the season, which, in addition to the aforementioned matches, includes UC Irvine (22), Seton Hall (21), Creighton (20), at Creighton (22), Marquette (23) and Villanova (20) ... Saw action in all 118 sets in each of Xavier's 32 matches ... Concluded the season with a team-high 390 kills and finished second on the team with 350 digs ... Ranked second on the team and eighth in the A-10 with .28 aces per set and 33 total aces ... Finished the season ranked seventh in the A-10 in both kills (3.31 k/s) and points (3.74 p/s) ... Had 25 double-digit kills performances on the season to go with 15 double-digit dig efforts ... Led XU with 12 double-doubles ... Opened season with double-digit kills in back-to-back matches against South Carolina St. (10) and Coastal Carolina (13) ... Notched 17 kills against Tennessee Tech ... 2011: Played in 94 sets over 26 matches as a sophomore ... named to the Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference as well as the All-Tournament team ... member of the Western Kentucky All-Tournament roster ... named Atlantic 10 Offensive Performer of the Week twice ... earned a team-best seven double-doubles during the 2011 campaign ... led the team in kills with 317 ... fourth on the squad in hitting percentage at .236 ... third on the team in digs with 298 ... tied for third on the team in service aces with 17 on the season ... posted double-digit kills on 16 occasions, including three matches in which she had over 20 kills ... had 12 matches in which has passed digs in the double digits ... her career-high in kills came against Texas A&M in which she had 26 kills off of a .380 clip, her 26 were the fourth-most a Musketeer has ever had in a match ... got under a career-high 29 digs vs. Dayton on Nov. 4 which ranks fourth all-time for most digs in a match by a Musketeer ... knocked in a career-best four service aces vs. Wright State on Sept. 20 ... recorded three assisted blocks twice including at Rhode Island on Oct. 22 ... had a solo block in four matches including in the regular season finale at Temple on Nov. 13.

2010: Saw action in 65 sets over 26 matches in her rookie season as a Musketeer...recorded 14 kills vs. Dayton Oct. 15th... got under a career high 13 digs twice, vs. Rhode Island on Oct. 20th and then again vs. Dayton on Oct. 15th ... led the way in the Musketeers' last regular season game vs. George Washington with eight kills, a career-high four service aces to go along with three digs and three assisted blocks ... had her first career double-double vs. then No. 18 Dayton on Oct. 15th with 14 kills and 13 digs.

Prior to Xavier: Was a four-year varsity letter winner and a three-time District Player of the Year at Tuscarawas Valley. She was named the Principals Athletic Conference (PAC 7) Player of the Year and also earned First Team All-Ohio accolades for the third consecutive year in 2009 after wrapping up her senior season. Brown led her team in kills in 2009 and was named team MVP her junior and senior years ... in 2008, Brown earned Honorable Mention All-Ohio accolades and was named the team's Best Offensive Player ... As a sophomore in 2007, Brown set the school record for most kills in one match while leading the team in kills and digs for the year. She was also named District Rookie of the Year ... during 2010, Brown played club ball for Varsity Elite. Previous club teams: Ohio Elite, Tusc Juniors and Ace.
