A three-year team captain and four-year letter winner for coach Jeff Kaufmann, Russell helped the Woodstock High School Blue Streaks to an Illinois Class AA regional crown in 2006, the first time the squad had captured that title in eight years... she holds the all-time record for kills and blocks at Woodstock High... for her exceptional play during the season, she was named to the 2006 All-State Honorable Mention team... named to the All-Area Honorable Mention team in 2004, All-Area Second Team in 2005 and All-Area First Team in 2006... was a member of the Sky High Volleyball club that captured the 2006 Junior Nationals Championship as well.
