Ben Rottinghaus is entering his 11th season working with the Xavier volleyball program after starting his tenure at XU in 2001. He primarily works with the middle blockers but also helps out with all aspects of the team.
The Columbus, Ind., native received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 2000 where he played three seasons on the men's club team. Rottinghaus was a utility player, seeing time as an outside hitter, libero, middle blocker and setter at various times. He was also a team manager for the women's varsity team at IU all four years he attended.
Rottinghaus served as a club volleyball coach for the Forest Hills Volleyball Club in 2002.
Ben and his wife Erika have one son, Tyler.
