Deaton on Hellmann: "She is a real solid player on the floor and she has a great passing technique. She has come into her own defensively. The tough part about Megan is we try to get her out of comfort zone but as far as her passing and serve-receive, that's just one girl you don't serve the ball to. She passes nails."


2007... Hellmann continued to develop her role within the Musketeer squad during her third year with the team, playing in 121 games over 85 matches during 2007... she got under a career-high 21 digs in Xavier's contest against Eastern Michigan in the title match of the 2007 Aussie Xavier Invitational on Sept. 1... tallied her first career assisted block at Rhode Island Sept. 29... led the team in service aces with 31 and was fifth in digs (214)... named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll following the fall semester.

2006... gained increased playing time during her second year under coach Deaton, playing in 94 games over 29 matches... set or tied three career highs as a sophomore: three assists vs. IPFW on Aug. 26, four aces at UNLV on Sept. 9 and 18 digs vs. Duquesne on Nov. 10... was second on the team in service aces (25) and fifth in digs (208)... her 208 digs in 2006 more than quadrupled her season high from the previous year... named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll following the spring semester. 2005... saw action in 21 matches and 50 games as a freshman... was fifth on the team in assists per game... turned in a career-high three assists vs. North Dakota State on Sept. 3... finished eight matches with three or more digs including a career-high nine digs vs. Tennessee on Sept. 16 in the Mortar Board Premiere Tournament.
