CINCINNATI - Xavier University head women's tennis coach Eric Toth announced that the Musketeers signed two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period. Lauren Ghidotti (Dublin, OH/Bishop Watterson) and Amina Ismail (Maineville, OH/Kings) have committed to join the team for the 2014-2015 season.

"We welcome both Lauren and Amina to Xavier University and our program," said Toth. "We targeted each of them early in the recruiting process as two individuals who Coach Matthews and I felt would be assets to our school and team. We feel very fortunate to have them both sign on. They will fit in extremely well with our existing team. I expect both Lauren and Amina to be four-year impact players for us."

Ghidotti is ranked as a 4-star recruit by Tennisrecruiting.net. She is also rated No. 132 nationally and No. 7 in the state of Ohio for this year's Senior class. Ghidotti recently was the runner-up in the OHSAA Division I State Singles Tournament.

Ismail is also a 4-star recruit as rated by Tennisrecruiting.net. Furthermore, she is rated No. 110 nationally and No. 4 in the state of Ohio for the 2014 Senior class. She will be the second Ismail representing Xavier on the court. Brother, Raees ('09), also competed for the Musketeers and is currently ranked second in all-time singles victories for the Xavier Men's program.

The 2013-2014 Musketeers are currently in the off-season and will open the 2014 campaign at home on Jan. 25 versus Indiana (11 a.m./Western Tennis and Fitness).
