Women's Tennis Travels To Memphis For USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships

CINCINNATI - Xavier women's tennis will be traveling to the University of Memphis to compete in the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships. Play is set to begin on Friday, Oct. 18 at the Racquet Club of Memphis.
Friday morning holds the qualifying singles and doubles matches. Competing in the qualifying singles is Allyson Westling, Andrea Wolf and Cristina Di Lorenzo. The pairings of Wolf and Westling and Di Lorenzo and Daniella Patton will participate in qualifying doubles as well. Each must win two matches in the qualifying round to earn a spot in the main draw, which starts competition on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Friday at 8 a.m. (CT), Westling and Wolf play against Tennessee's Brittany Lindl and Tiffany Taveres and Di Lorenzo and Patton play Eastern Kentucky's Saioa Oscoz and Melena Poffo.
At 9:15 a.m. (CT) all three qualifying draw singles will be in action. Westling will face Austin Peay's Andra Cornea, Wolf against Chattanooga's Kelsey Coots and Di Lorenzo versus Evansville's Marina Moren.
Alex Brinker, Sydney Liggins, Daniella Patton and Lizzie Oosterbaan will face off in the singles main draw, while Brinker and Liggins were selected to compete in main draw doubles on Saturday. Singles begins at 1: 00 p.m. (CT) and doubles at 8:00 a.m.
