CINCINNATI -- The 2010 edition of the Total Asset Planning Xavier Pro-Am was another success. The event consisted of a silent auction and raffle, but the highlight of the event was the 32 team doubles tournament. This year's event raised over $42,000 for the Xavier University tennis programs.
"I believe we had yet another successful event," said Xavier head tennis coach Eric Toth. "Despite the rain, we were able to move indoors and get everyone a chance to play throughout the day. I would like to thank Jim Brockhoff for his efforts once again, Tom Albers, President of Total Asset Planning, for once again donating his time and money once again as this year's title sponsor, and finally Becky Jackson from Xavier University for all of the planning she put into this year's event. Without these three individuals this day cannot be successful."
In the Xavier Pro-Am, Jeff Harris and Chris Herrlinger won the Midwest Sports Division with Steve Mahon and Richard Canelas coming in second. In the Albers Division; Tom Sunderman and Brian Clark earned first place while Joe Berk and Anthony Palmenter took second.
In the Union Central Division, Jodi Allen and Ryan Floth came out on top while the runners up were Molly Rogers and Rob Bakker. Finishing off the competition in the Rielly-Zilliox Division, Brian Sunderman and Sofia Melikshvili took first place while Jen Conway and Jason Woods placed second.
"Myself, the staff, and the current players are most appreciative of those who came out to support the event which directly impacts our programs," said Toth. "Through their financial contributions to either play in the event, purchase raffle tickets, or participate in the silent or live auctions, our student-athletes are able to have an even more worthwhile experience while participating on our teams at Xavier due to the money we are able to raise every year on this day."
