"I am really pleased with the year both Katie (Pleiman) and Daniella (Patton) have had. Katie has battled minor, nagging injuries seemingly ever since she has gotten to Xavier. She never complains, just simply works hard, gives it her all and has become an elite player in the A-10. She will have a great senior season next year. Daniella had a very solid season freshman campaign. She competes and has as good of poise on court as anybody we have on our team. She gives us a great chance at winning anytime she steps on the court for us. Her future is extremely bright at Xavier. Both Katie and Daniella are exemplary student-athletes and teammates. Their accolades are very well deserved."
Richmond's Joanna Matuszczyk has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Tennis Most Outstanding Performer, while fellow Spider Melissa Kandinata was tabbed Most Outstanding Rookie Performer. Judy Dixon of Massachusetts was honored as Coach of the Year.
