CINCINNATI - The annual Midwest Sports/Xavier Tennis Pro-Am will be held on Saturday, June 9. This annual event helps to bring in over $35,000 each year for the Xavier University Tennis programs. This year’s tournament that will feature 32 teams of amateurs and professionals will take place a Lunken Playfield at noon and will conclude with a dinner at Schiff Family Conference Center at Cintas Center at 6:00 p.m. A silent auction that includes gift certificates to many of Cincinnati’s restaurants, entertainment, items for women as well as sports memorabilia will be held. A live auction featuring trips and unique experiences will also take place.
Xavier tennis will also be honoring long time Xavier Tennis supporter and former player, Denny Egen. Denny played tennis for Xavier from 1967-1971 and was the first to be selected to play in the NCAA tournament in both singles and doubles in Xavier’s history.
The Xavier tennis team is also selling raffle tickets to help raise money as well. Prizes include tickets to the U.S. Open, Xavier men’s basketball season tickets, and a week in a Hilton Head condo. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25. If you are interested in purchasing raffle tickets, please contact Coach Eric Toth at email@example.com.
