PHILADELPHIA - Xavier University senior Kristen Clary has been named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team for women's tennis and was also honored as the A-10 Student-Athlete of the Year. Fellow senior Sarah Potts joined Clary on the six-member All-Academic Team.
This marks the third consecutive year that Xavier has placed multiple student-athletes on the All-Academic Team as three XU standouts were honored in 2004 and 2005.
Clary, a senior from Terre Haute, Ind., earns her second All-Conference honor, first Student-Athlete of the Year award and third honor on the All-Academic Team following the 2006 campaign where she went 24-8 at No. 1 singles while netting a 21-14 mark in the top doubles position. She ends her career at No. 2 on the all-time singles wins list at 107-29 (.787) and was 89-43 (.674) in doubles competition over her four-year career.

The senior finished the season by winning her last 13 singles matches including a spotless 3-0 record at the A-10 Conference Championships. Potts concludes her career with a 70-22 career singles record and a mark of 56-26 in doubles.
Xavier ended the 2006 season with a fourth-place finish at the Conference Championships and finished with a 14-10 record, which was the 16th consecutive winning season for the Musketeers. XU has also finished in the top four of the Atlantic 10 Conference in each of the last five seasons.
