CINCINNATI - Women's tennis takes a weekend road trip to George Washington and UMBC this weekend. The Musketeers will face Colonials of George Washington on Friday, April 4 and the Retrievers of UMBC on Saturday.

Xavier is currently 13-4 on the season with a 1-1 BIG EAST record. This past week the team went 1-1 with a 5-2 victory over Cincinnati and a 4-3 loss to BIG EAST foe Marquette.

Last time Xavier faced George Washington was during the 2012 spring season where Xavier won, 4-3. During this match current seniors Andrea Wolf and Allyson Westling won their heated singles matches in three sets, 0-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, and 6-0, 0-6, 6-2, respectively.

George Washington currently has an overall record of 5-5 with a notable, 6-1, win over UMBC. The match is set to be played at the GW Tennis Center on the campus of George Washington with first serve at 12 p.m.

This is Xavier's first time facing off against UMBC. The Retrievers are currently 6-7 on the season with a 4-1 home record. The match will begin at 11 a.m. at the Retriever Tennis Complex on the campus of UMBC.
