Women's Tennis Returns To Conference Action Against Butler

CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's tennis team looks to return to the win column after suffering its first loss of the season when it takes on Butler in Atlantic 10 Conference action on the road Wednesday afternoon.

The Musketeers are 5-2 overall and 1-0 in A-10 play after defeating Dayton to begin league play on Feb. 2. Freshman Alex Brinker improved her singles record to 6-1 overall with two victories last weekend for Xavier.

Senior Katie Pleiman is 5-2 at the top singles spot for the Musketeers after missing the fall rehabbing from an injury.

Xavier is 3-2 in away matches this season and 11-2 against the Bulldogs in meetings dating back to 2000.

First serve is schedule for 3 p.m. at the Butler Bubble located on the Butler campus.
