CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's tennis team looks to keep its strong start in tact when it faces Dayton on Saturday and Miami (Ohio) on Sunday. The match against the Flyers will be the first Atlantic 10 opponent the Musketeers will face this season.
Both matches will be on the road for the Musketeers (2-1) who defeated Eastern Kentucky in a close 4-3 decision last weekend.
Senior Katie Pleiman, freshman Alex Brinker and junior Andrea Wolf have started off the year with 2-1 singles records for Xavier. The trio each won their last match in a contest that came down to the wire with the Colonials last Friday.
Xavier will be hunting for its second-straight doubles point against the Flyers on Saturday. The match against Dayton begins at 3 p.m. at the Five Season Family Sports Club in Dayton. Sunday's match against Miami (Ohio) starts at 4 p.m. at Hamilton's Riverside Athletic Club.
The Flyers are 4-3 this spring and the RedHawks are 1-2 to start the season.
