PHILADELPHIA, PA. – The Xavier women’s tennis cruised to its eighth straight victory defeating conference foe Saint Joseph’s 5-1. The two teams only competed in singles play.  The Musketeers improved to 10-3 overall and remain undefeated in Atlantic 10 at 3-0.

Sophomore Andrea Wolf won at the No. 2 (6-4, 6-3).  Freshman Lizzie Oosterbaan defeated her foe (6-2, 6-3).  Also winning were sophomore Ally Westling (6-1, 6-2) and junior Natalie Handler (6-1, 6-1).

“I am really proud of our girls today. Any time you can get a road win in conference it’s a good day. Daniella Patton had a great win against an all-conference player and everyone else was superb as well,” said assistant coach Doug Mattews.

Xavier returns to action tomorrow taking on Altantic 10 opponent Temple.  First serve is set for 5 p.m.
