Assistant coach Amber Alexander is in her second year on the staff at Xavier. Amber is the daughter of XU third-year head coach Alvin Alexander.
"Amber has done a great job for us," said Alexander. "She has helped so much with every aspect of what we do and is very valuable to us in the area of recruiting. She has been great with communication with our recruits, emailing and writing letters. One of the big things she has been doing is getting our video resources organized."
Alexander, 24, earned a bachelor of arts degree in kinesiology with a concentration in teaching/coaching from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2005.
"Amber has the personality and love for the game that is a tremendous asset to our team in both recruiting and teaching the game," said the Musketeers' head coach.
Alexander has a variety of coaching experience, including holding her USSF "D" Coaching License. She trained with Ohio Elite and is currently training Warren County United and Mason/Thunder United. In Texas she has coached with the Black Magic Soccer Club, American Eagle Soccer Club and the Dallas Texans Soccer Club. In addition, she has worked a number of summer soccer camps, including Notre Dame and Xavier.
