Xavier women's golf freshman Shane Crutchfield earned a first team honor and was named the Colonial Athletic Association's Rookie of the Year while senior Breanna Patz grabbed a spot on the second team.

The Xavier women's golf team concluded its season today at the CAA Championship with a third place finish with a team score of 313-317-327=957 (+93). James Madison took the title with a score of 942 (+78).

Musketeers in Hunt for CAA Title

Xavier slipped to second place in the CAA Championship after firing a 313 Saturday afternoon. The Musketeers are tied with Richmond with an overall score of 630 (+54) and are preceded by James Madison, who leads with a 619 (+43). Breanna Patz had a team-low 77 in the second round.

Musketeers Lead After Day One

The Xavier women's golf team hold a three stroke lead over Delaware for the top spot after round one at the CAA Championship. The Musketeers fired a 313 (+25) in the opening round at The Reserve Club at St. James Plantation. All five Xavier starters ranked in the top-15 in the field.
