CINCINNATI- Shane Crutchfield of St. Petersburg, Fla. signed her letter of intent today to play for the Musketeers.

Crutchfield played four years of varsity golf at St. Petersburg High School where she was team-captain and MVP each season. Crutchfield was a District Champion all fours years and earned First-Team All-County for three seasons.

"We just received an NLI from Shane Crutchfield," said head coach Tom Elfers. "Shane will make an immediate impact on our team in the 2012-2013 Season. She is an excellent golfer and student and will be a great addition to the Xavier Women's Golf Team. Shane comes to Xavier with an excellent record both in golf accomplishments and academics."

According to Golfweek.com Crutchfield is ranked in the top 200 among all 2012 recruits. During her AJGA and Florida Junior Tour career, Crutchfield had amassed 17 top-10 finishes and medaled once on the AJGA. The AJGA recently recognized Shane for her performance in the classroom and the golf course by selecting her as a Scholastic Junior All-American. Crutchfield was one of 12 girls to receive this accolade.
