RICHMOND, Va. - Xavier junior women's golfer Ariel McNair has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week after posting a career-low finish at the FedEx Memphis Women's Intercollegiate.

This is the first weekly honor for the Musketeers this season.

McNair earned a tie for sixth place at the tournament shooting 74-79-74--227 (+14) at the 71 par, 6,150-yard Ridgeway Country Club in Germantown, Tenn. The junior opened the tournament in second place after the first round and tied a career-low 74 in the first and final rounds. McNair's tie for sixth is her first career top-10 finish. The Aurora, Ohio, native led Xavier to a second-place team finish.

The Musketeers are set to travel to Kiawah Island, S.C., this weekend to participate in the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate Oct. 28-29.
