Xavier Musketeers Begin Season with the Chip-N Club Invite

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Xavier women’s golf team kicks off the 2012 fall season with the Chip-N Club Invitational.  The two-day tournament will start Monday September 10 and conclude on the 11th. The Musketeers will compete at the par-72, 6.075 yard Country Club of Nebraska located in Lincoln.

Nebraska University plays host to the Chip-N Club Invite and includes 12 other colleges. Creighton, Houston Baptist, Iowa, Kansas State, Missouri, Missouri State, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota State, SMU, South Dakota, Wichita State, and of course Xavier.

The 13-team field will participate in a 54-hole tournament, with all three rounds being played at the Country Club of Lincoln. The teams and individuals will play 36 holes on Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Pairings for Tuesday’s final round will be determined by Monday’s scores through the first two rounds. Tuesday’s shotgun start is set for 8:30 a.m. The lowest score of four individuals will determine the team score for each round.
