Xavier Senior Breanna Patz to Compete in 2012 US Women's Amateur Championship
Aug. 2, 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship Info | Complete Qualifying Results CINCINNATI- Xavier senior women's golfer Breanna Patz will be competing at the 2012 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship Aug. 6-12 at The Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio. Patz's 76 at Broadmoor C.C. in Indianapolis on July 16 qualified her for the national event. "Breanna has worked very hard on her game ever since she started playing at Xavier tree years ago," commented Xavier head coach Tom Elfers. "She is now reaping the rewards for her hard work. The Xavier team will be rooting her on." The action kicks off on Monday, Aug. 6 with tee times to be announced, ranging between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Patz is the first Xavier women's golfer to compete in the U.S. Women's Amateur. Patz will be one of two senior team members on the 2012-13 Xavier women's golf team. She averaged 77.3 this past season, second-best on the squad. Patz had one top 10 finish this past season and finished in 12th place overall at the 2012 Colonial Athletic Association Championship. She is also a three-time NGCA All-America Scholar.
