CINCINNATI - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced that five Xavier golfers were named All-American Scholars. Breanna Patz, Christine Cash, Alexandra Lake, Ariel McNair and Shane Crutchfield each received the distinction after posting GPAs above 3.50.

A senior, Patz led the club with the accolade for the fourth-straight year, joining Jill Stein (2001-04) and Sarah Sparks (2002-05) as the only Musketeers to win the award all four years of their playing career. Patz graduated in May with a degree in accounting and will begin pursuit of her MBA this fall.

Cash, a junior business management major, picked up the award for the third time. Lake earned the award for the second time after graduating in May with degrees in International Business and Economics.

Earning the award for the first time was junior McNair and freshman Crutchfield. Earlier this summer, McNair was inducted into the African American Golfers Hall of Fame in West Palm Beach, Fla. Crutchfield posted a team-low 77.0 scoring average this season.
