The Musketeers hope to have another run for the CAA Championship next year.

CINCINNATI- The Xavier women’s golf team released its 2012-13 schedule which features 11 tournaments including the return the LPGA Xavier Invitational. The Musketeers will begin its season September 9-10 at the Chip-n-Club Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.
Head Coach Tom Elfers was quoted, “I am excited to announce our 2012-2013 schedule. We have added Nebraska, Michigan, Charleston, Maryland, and McNeese State, as well as our continued travels to Arizona, Tennessee and Florida. This Division I schedule will help us continue to improve and compete in the Colonial Athletic Association at the end of spring 2013.”
Xavier will participate in six tournaments that were on the schedule last season, including the CAA Championship. The returning tournaments are the Xavier Invitational, Memphis Fall Invitational, Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational, Cincinnati Spring Invitational, and the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. The CAA Championship will return to Southport, N.C. April 19-21, 2013.
The five tournaments that are new to the Musketeers’ schedule are the Chip-n-Club Invitational, Wolverine Invitational, Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate, Le Triomphe Collegiate Invitational in Broussard, La., and the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge in Miami, Fla.
The Musketeers rounded out the season with a fourth place finish at the CAA Championship with a score of 923 (+59). Xavier returns all but one student-athlete, and has one new-coming freshman.
