Women's Golf Team In Fourth After Two Rounds


 

 
RICHMOND, Ky. -- The women's golf team is in fourth place after two rounds at the Eastern Kentucky Lady Colonial Classic.

Xavier shot a 314 in the first round, followed by a 317 today. The team total is 631.

Junior Sarah Sparks is leading the way for Xavier while currently tied for fifth. Sparks shot a 76 in the first round and a 75 in the second round. Her two round total is 151.

Senior Jill Stein shot an 80 in the first round and a 78 in the second round. Her two round total is 158, which puts her tied for 16th.

Freshman Kara Manis is tied for 22nd after two rounds of play. Manis fired a 76 in the first round and an 85 in the second. She stands with a two round total of 161.

Freshman Kathleen Hardy shot an 82 and an 81 and has a total of 163 so far. Hardy currently sits tied for 31st.

Junior Abby Fowler rounds out the Xavier field tied for 38th. Fowler shot an 82 and 83 for a two round total of 165.

The women's golf team will return to action tomorrow in the final round of the tournament.
