WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Xavier women's golf team placed eighth out of 16 teams at the William & Mary Invitational behind a balanced team effort.

Freshman Abby Fowler led the way with a 155 (76-79) to finish tied for 15th individually.

Jill Stein and Beth Hamilton were close behind, carding 158 and 160 respectively. Stein finished tied for 23rd and Hamilton was tied for 30th place.

Emily Shoplik rounded out the Musketeers' score with a 165 to finish tied for 44th place individually.

Xavier will return to action on April 12 at the Eastern Kentucky Colonel Classic in Richmond, Ky.
