CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's golf team will travel to Miami Lakes, Fla., for the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge on Monday, Feb. 25, and Tuesday, Feb. 26. The 54-hole tournament will be hosted by the University of Maryland at Shulas Golf Club, and will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

The field consists of 16 teams including Maryland, East Tennessee, N.C. State, Miami (Fla.), Louisville, FIU, Jacksonville University, Kansas, Memphis, Missouri, Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Mercer, Illinois State and UMKC.

The teams will play on the Senator Course at Shulas Golf Club. The Par 72, 6,278-yard course was updated in 1998 by nationally recognized Golf Course Architect Kipp Schulties.

After 18 rounds this season, freshman Shane Crutchfield leads the Musketeers with a 76.7 average and she has posted two low rounds of 70 over six events. XU is coming off a second-place finish at the Le Triomphe Collegiate Invitational last week, the Musketeers first tournament of the spring.
