GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – The Xavier women’s golf team captured a second place finish at the FedEx Memphis Women’s Intercollegiate with a team score of 927 (306-316-305). Ariel McNair, Shane Crutchfield, and Breanna Patz all finished in the top-20.
The Musketeers maintained their second place throughout the entire tournament with the help of all team members. McNair tied her career-low with her first and third round scores. She finished tied for sixth with final score of 227 (+14). Crutchfield captured her third consecutive top-10 finish as she ended tied for eighth place. Crutchfield fired a 230 (+17) for the tournament.
Patz shot a season-low 73 in the final round and finished with a total score of 233 (+20) and finished tied for 16th place. This was Patz’s third top-20 finish of the season. Junior Christine Cash finished tied for 32nd place after firing a 27-over-par for a score of 240. Alexandra Lake fired a season-low 245 (82-81-82) and finished tied for 43rd.
Samford’s Natalie Mitchell was the medalist with the final score of 220 (+7) and led her team to the FedEx Intercollegiate title with a winning score of 913.
