The Musketeers had two top-10 and one top-20 finishes at the Wolverine Invite.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Musketeer women's golf team concluded the Wolverine Invitational tying for third place and had several notable individual efforts. Xavier shot an 81-over-par 933 (316-311-306) as a team and tied Illinois and Eastern Michigan at the par-71 U-M Golf Course. Senior Breanna Patz and freshman Shane Crutchfield tied for sixth place with scores of 232 (+19).
Patz lead the field of 85 competitors after the first round as she opened the tournament with a two-over-par 74 then carded an 80-78 in the final two rounds. This is Patz's seventh career top-10 finish and puts her three shy of the all-time Xavier record, held by Mary Beth McKenna.
Crutchfield fired an 82-75-75 at the Invite as she captured her first top-10 finish as a Musketeer. Crutchfield's performance in Ann Arbor was two strokes better than her rounds at the Chip-N Club earning her a career-best 232. Sophomore Abby Smith was tied for 13th place with a score of 234 (82-79-73. Smith entered the final round in 27th place, but was able to climb up the latter with her impressive one-over-par showing.
Junior Christine Cash nearly cracked into the top-20 finished but settled for tied for 23rd after her 238 (+25) score. Junior Ariel McNair made her 2012-13 debut and recorded a 243 (+30) while finishing tied for 33rd place. Senior Alexandra Lake and junior Kristin Tan each competed as individuals. Tan was forced to withdraw after the first round. Lake finished in 72nd place with a score of 257 (+44).
Host school Michigan and Florida International came away with the shared title of a team score of 930 (+78). Alyssa Kwon of Eastern Michigan, Alicia Weber of Michigan, and Meghan MacLaren of Florida International all tied for the lowest score of 227 (+14).
