PORT ST. LUCIA, Fla.- Junior Ariel McNair won the 26th PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship at the Ryder and Wanamaker Golf Course. McNair shot an 84-79-76 (239) in the three-day tournament to take the top spot in the Women’s Independent Division.

The PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship presented by Brown Capital Management originated in November 1986 following the Jackson State University Golf Tournament and has elevated golf in minority colleges and universities by providing opportunities to more players to compete in a national championship.

McNair was able to top the other twelve women competitors to take the title. Last year McNair placed fifth in the tournament with a score of 232. The Aurora, Ohio native was also one of ten women to receive a scholarship from State Farms Insurance.
