LAKE VIEW, Ga. - The Xavier women's golf team, led by sophomore Rachel Levi's T-24th place finish, concluded their season at the CAA Conference Championships with a seventh place finish on the par-70, 6,030 yard Callowy Gardens course.
Levi fired rounds of 80-75-83 over the three-day tournament to finish tied for 24th overall at 238 (+28). A pair of Musketeers finished within just two shots of Levi: Fellow sophomore Audrey Fellmeth carded rounds of 81-79-79 to finish a stroke behind Levi at 239. Junior Mary Beth McKenna tied Levi for the best Xavier round of the tournament with her final-round 75, which coupled with her rounds of 83 and 82 earned her a tie for 28th at 240 (+30).
Fellmeth tied for seventh in the tournament on par-three holes, hitting just three-over par over the weekend. Fellmeth also led XU in par-four scoring (+18) and total pars (31). Levi claimed the XU lead in par-five scoring at even par, good enough for T-7th in the tournament. Freshman Michelle Winkler and Levi tied with four birdies during the Championship to lead XU.
Senior Lindsay Cornell, playing in her final tournament for Xavier, finished right with Winkler on the leaderboard. Cornell turned in rounds of 84-85-82 to earn a tie for 39th at 251 (+41). Winkler was two strokes back with rounds of 86-82-85 to finish tied for 41st at 253 (+43).
