Women's Golf Finishes T-15th At SDSU Invite

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – Senior Ariel McNair (Aurora, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) shot a final round 81 to tie for 58th place individually as the Xavier women’s golf team finished tied for 15th place at the 2014 SDSU Farms Invitational at The Farms Golf Club.
The Musketeers turned in a 309 team score in the final round to finish with a three round total of 947 (326-312-309), 14 strokes better than 17th place Portland State (961) and seven strokes behind 14th place Toledo (940).
McNair shot 235 (78-76-81) during the three-day event, earning a share of 58th place on the individual leaderboard.
Junior Abby Smith (Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County High School) fired a final round 75 (85-80-75/240) to finish in a tie for 72nd place. Freshman Grace Howie (Calgary, Alberta, Canada/The Edge School) turned in a third round score of 78, after rounds of 79 and 83 on the first two days of play, to grab a share of 72nd place with Smith.
The Musketeers will close out their regular-season slate when they compete in the Eastern Kentucky Colonel Classic, April 4-5, in Richmond, Ky.
