Women's Golf Sits In First After Two Rounds At The Rio Verde Invite

RIO VERDE, Ariz. - Sophomore Shane Crutchfield (St. Petersburg, Fla./St. Petersburg) sits tied for first place overall (73-75/148) as the Xavier women's golf team recorded team scores of 303 and 298 (601) and lead the 2014 Rio Verde Invitational at Quail Run Golf Course after two rounds of play.
Junior Abby Smith (Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County High School) shot rounds of 78 and 71 and sits tied for seventh place. Senior Ariel McNair (Aurora, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) has a two-round total of 150 and has a share of 10th place.
Competing as individuals, freshman Rachel Johnson (Nashville, Tenn./Franklin Road Academy) senior Kristin Tan (Seattle, Wash./Holy Names Academy) finished tied for 71st (83-81/164) and tied for 92nd (86-86/172), respectively.
