The Musketeers moved up three places after the first round to claim second place.

BROUSSARD, Louisiana – The Musketeers completed the Le Triomphe Collegiate Invitational in second place with a team score of 943 (+79). Senior Breanna Patz set the pace for the Musketeers shooting a season-low 228 (+12) at the par 72, 6,226 yard Le Triomphe Country Club. All five starters for Xavier finished in the top half of the field.
The Musketeers shot their best score in their final round, shooting a 309. Each round XU improved its scoring firing a 321 first round, 313 second round, and 309 in the final round.
Patz not only posted her lowest score of the season, but also her lowest placing, finishing tied for second. This was her second top-10 finish of the 2012-13 season. Abby Smith carded a three round score of 234 (+18) and ended tied for ninth. This was Smith’s best finish since the Chip-N Club Invitational when she placed seventh.
Freshman Shane Crutchfield fired a 24-over-par, 240 and finished tied for 19th. Ariel McNair ended the tournament tied for 29th, shooting a 244 (+28). Christine Cash posted a 247 (+31) and ended the tournament tied for 39th.
Lamar won the tournament with a score of 930 (+66) and had the medalist, Ghni Ngo, who carded a 226 (+10).
