Xavier Hoops Banquets Set for April 15 and 24

Annual awards banquets will take place on Monday, April 15 for the Xavier men's basketball team and Wednesday, April 24 for the women's basketball team.

Xavier University Joins The New Big East

Xavier University President Michael J. Graham, S.J., announced today that Xavier is joining a 10-team conference with fellow private schools Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, and Villanova. The conference will be officially named the Big East on July 1.

Temple Upsets Xavier, 52-45, in A-10 First Round

The seventh-seeded Xavier women's basketball team was upset Friday evening by No. 10 Temple, 52-45, in the first round of the 2013 Buick Atlantic 10 Championship. The Musketeers finish the season with a 13-16 overall record and they posted an even 7-7 mark in regular season league play.

The Xavier women's basketball team is set to make its 18th-consecutive appearance in the Atlantic 10 Championship Friday evening as the seventh-seeded squad in the tournament. XU will square off against No. 10 Temple at 5 p.m. at Saint Joseph's Hagan Arena.
