Women's Basketball Scratches Out 69-67 Double-Overtime Crosstown Classic Win at Cincinnati
The Xavier women's basketball team won its fourth-straight Crosstown Classic against intracity rival Cincinnati, 69-67, Sunday afternoon at UC's Fifth Third Arena. Senior Jessica Pachko and sophomore Lakeisha Crouch paced the Musketeers with 15 points apiece in the double-overtime thriller for the Kendle Cup.

Following Saturday afternoon’s matchup with UC, the Blue and White will travel to the Windy City for their first BIG EAST conference game. XU will face DePaul on New Year’s Day for the seventh all-time meeting between the two squads. The Blue Demons were one of four BIG EAST teams to appear in the NCAA Tournament last season (St. John’s, Creighton and Villanova).

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
NOTES FROM UC’s WIN OVER AKRON (Dec. 17)

- Dayeesha Hollins became the 25th player in UC women’s basketball program history to record 1,000 points in Cincinnati’s win over Akron on Dec. 17. Hollins now has 1,438 points in her collegiate career after totaling 420 during her freshman season at Michigan.

Hollins reached double-digits in scoring for the eighth time this season and 81st of her career.

- Jeanise Randolph recorded her fourth double-double of the season with a career-high 25 points and a season-high 12 rebounds.

- Alyesha Lovett reached double-digit points for the third-straight game with 14 points that included 2-of-5 shooting from behind the arc.

- Jeanise Randolph recorded three blocks in the contest to total 59 in her career. She is just three shy of tying current teammate Tiffany Turner for sixth on Cincinnati’s all-time blocks list.

- Hollins reached double-digits in scoring for the eighth time this season and 81st of her career.
