A Couple of Streaks Snapped
XU's loss to Louisville on November 30 marked the Musketeers' first two-game losing streak since the team dropped a 74-72 decision to No. 22 Maryland on December 4, 2004; a span of 64 games. Since the Maryland game, XU is 18-1 following a loss.
Home Streak Still Breathing
XU has not lost consecutive home games in a span of 36 games. The last time XU lost consecutive home games came on November 27 and December 4, 2004 when Xavier lost to Auburn (55-53) and Maryland (74-72) respectively.
Harris' Block Party Continues
Freshman standout Amber Harris scored 29 points in XU's 75-65 win vs. LMU on Nov. 18. The 29 points were the most ever scored in the National City Xavier Invitational and were the second-highest total ever scored by a Xavier freshman. Tara Boothe scored 31 during the 2002-03 season. Additionally, Harris has already blocked 28 shots in eight games and is poised to shatter the XU single-season block record of 39 established by Taru Tuukkanen during the 2000-01 season. Harris is on pace to block 105 shots this season.
