Xavier Women Headed Across Town for Shootout at Cincinnati Sunday

CINCINNATI - The No. 4/4 Xavier women's basketball team will be driving the short three miles over to the University of Cincinnati on Sunday for the annual Skyline Chili Women's Crosstown Shootout. The intracity rivals are set to tipoff at 2 p.m. at UC's Fifth Third Arena.
About the Musketeers
Senior Amber Harris leads the Musketeers and ranks second in the A-10 in scoring with 21.1 ppg. and brings in 9.7 rebounds per game on average, which is third-best in the league. Senior Ta’Shia Phillips corrals 11.9 boards per game to lead the team and the A-10 in that category, while classmate Special Jennings’ 6.1 assists/game ranks second among A-10 players. Junior Tyeasha Moss boasts a league-best 3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, one of four Musketeers who rank in the top five of the category.
The Bearcats are led by Shareese Ulis with 14.3 points per game, the only Bearcat averaging double figures in scoring. Tiffany Turner is UC’s top rebounder with 7.7 per contest while Ulis has dished out a team-best 26 assists on the year.
Xavier and Cincinnati have previously met 32 times in the series between the two with the Bearcats holding the 22-10 advantage. In their last meeting, the Musketeers posted a 31-point victory over the Bearcats on Dec. 6, 2009 at Cintas Center. Amber Harris led all scorers on the night with 17 points and Tyeasha Moss added 14 as well for XU. Shareese Ulis was UC’s top scorer with 14.
