CINCINNATI - The Xavier women's basketball kicked off the 2010-11 season Monday with the official start of practice. Due to new NCAA legislation, all Division I women's basketball teams were allowed to begin practice today, two weeks earlier than usual.

Ninth-year head coach Kevin McGuff returns four starters and six of the Musketeers' top seven scorers from last year's squad, including the All-America duo of seniors Amber Harris and Ta'Shia Phillips.

Xavier will hold Musketeer Madness on Saturday, October 23 at 4 p.m. at Cintas Center to give fans a sneak peak at both the men's and women's teams. XU opens the 2010-11 season with an exhibition game on November 6 versus Bellarmine at Cintas Center.
